| Her Story | ||
| The story of Hotaru Tomoe's life is a dramatic one, filled with tragedy and hardship, and deeply intertwined with the story of the Death Busters. She is known as the Sailor of Destruction, Sacrifice, Death, and Rejuvination, being born under the star of that planet-Saturn- which is the planet of destruction. Her life was a fairly normal and happy one when she was little, though her mother dies when she was very young. But Hotaru lived with her father, who cares about her very much.Soichi Tomoe is a professor who works on recombinant DNA and cosmic studies. Their lives take a bad turn when one day, there is an explosion in Professor Tomoe's lab. It somehow opens a rift to an invisible universe, and allows the evil beings called the Death Busters to come through. Hotaru is killed and Soichi is gravely injured in the explosion, and the being Gerumantuo posesses Soichi's body under the agreement that he will save the lives of Soichi and Hotaru. From there, many more Death Busters come into this universe, and one of them called Mistress 9 inhabits Hotaru's body. But Hotaru doesn't know this because Mistress 9 is dormant untill she receives the power from pure crystal hearts to awaken. Hotaru only knows that she has fits (like seisures) and during some of these times, she blacks out, and doesn't know or remember what happens during these times. She sometimes awakens to find that she has harmed her classmates or done something bad (one time she killed her goldfish). Because she is inhabited by Mistress 9, she also has the power to heal, although she rarely gets to use it because her classmates think it's weird and demonic. But she meets Chibi-Usa in the park one day, and Chibi-Usa thinks that this power is wonderful. From there out, Chibi-Usa and Hotaru become best friends. Even though Haruka tells Chibi-Usa to stay away from Hotaru, she doesn't listen--she loves her too much. Haruka and Michiru repeatedly try to kill Hotaru because they learn that she is the"Messiah of Silence", but Sailormoon and Sailorchibimoon protect her because they believe that there has to be some other way to save the earth without killing Hotaru. But the blackouts and fits become stronger and stronger as the time of the Silence draws nearer, and eventually Kaolinite abducts Chibi-Usa and Hotaru swallows Chibimoon's pure crystal heart and awakens Mistress 9. But the power of Hotaru's love for all those that care about her eventually drives Mistress 9 out of her body and awakens Sailorsaturn. She returns Chibi-Usa's crystal heart to her, and then throws herself into the gateway to the Death Buster's Universe to destroy Pharaoh 90 and close the gateway. Before she goes, she tells Sailormoon that she is called the Soldier of sacrifice because she has the power to destroy the world, but in so doing, she herself will be destroyed. Sailormoon tries to stop her, but Hotaru goes in anyway. Through her great love for Hotaru and her despair, Sailormoon is able to gather energy from the outher Senshi and transform into Super Sailormoon, without the aid of the Sacred Cup. Usagi enters the gateway, and once it is closed, she emerges carying a baby Hotaru in her arms. Hotaru and her father recover, not remembering anything about all the bad things that have happened in the past years, and are given another chance at life. A chance to relive the good times, and hope that it turns out OK this time. But it won't be long before the power of Sailorsaturn is needed again. Saturn returns in "Sailor Stars" and Hotaru is forced to grow up again all too soon, so that she can come to the aid of her princess, and the person who saved her life---Sailormoon. |

| Silence Wall | This is a defensive maneuver. Saturn holds up her Silence Glaive yelling "Silence Wall" and an energy shield appears around her and what she is protecting, blocking any sort of energy from harming her. |

| Silence Glaive Surprise | This is an attack that unleashes the power of death upon it's target, killing him or her. The catch is that if Saturn uses this attack, she too will die. Saturn almost uses this attack in the first few episodes of Sailor Stars,
but Chibimoon stops her, because she doesn't want to lose her friend.

| Death Reborn Revolution | This is the ultimate attack which will unleash the power of death over the entire planet, if it becomes completely corrupt with evil. If she uses it, the attack will also destroy all the senshi, and her.

| Galactica Glaive Surprise |
This attack is used in the manga when Sailorsaturn is controlled by Galaxia and turned evil.

| Sailorsaturn's transformation is never shown in the Anime, and since I have little experience with the manga, I'm not certain about whether or not it is shown there. But, just for laughs, here is an animated GIF that someone made to look like Sailorsaturn's transformation. |
