Professor Tomoe Kaolinite Mistress 9 Witches 5

~Devices, Creatures, and Places used by the Death Busters~

The story of the Death Busters begins at the start of the third season of the Sailor Moon anime, Sailor Moon Super (SMS). This story is merely an overview of the Death Busters mission and characters. I try not to give away too much of the story, because if you're here reading this, chances are that you haven't seen SMS yet. And I'd hate to ruin it for you by giving too much away. But since you're here, you want to learn about these characters (so you can be "in the know" with other moonies"). Well, here ya go. And if you'd like to see the SMS season, I do have all the complete episodes in RealMedia format. To see how to get them, go to the "Movies" page.

The Death Busters are an evil organization which is bent on taking over and destroying the world. They want to cover the earth in darkness. This destruction of the world is referred to as "The Silence". The Silence can only be brought about when the evil "Messiah of Silence" posseses the Sacred Cup. The Sacred cup is a powerful device which appears when the three talismans are united. One of the Talismans has already been brought into this world (although its location is unknown). The other two exist only in the pure hearts of two individuals. The Death Busters' time is spent mainly in the quest for these three talismans. and after they are discovered, in the quest for the energy of pure crystal hearts in order to awaken the "Messiah of Silence".

There are mainly three members of the death Busters, and one group of members. There is also a fourth entity known as Pharoah 90 whom the Death Busters do all their work for, but we never actually see him in the Anime, so he won't be discussed in great detail here.

Professor Tomoe (Soichi Tomoe)
Professor Tomoe is the principal member of the Death Busters throughout the SMS season. He is inhabitted by a being named Gerumatou. Professor Tomoe is able to create Dalmons (the youma's for this series) by using the "Eggs of Dalmon". He places them in an energizer that looks like an easy-bake oven. Profeesor Tomoe was possessed by the being Gerumantou when an experiment he was conducting with isolated particles went wrong and killed his daughter Hotaru (as well as severely injuring himself) Then bright light appeared offering to save him and his daughter if they would do what it wanted. The professor agreed and was taken over by this spirit. His daughter was saved as well, but I can't tell you what happens to her without giving away the plot. If you still want to know what happens, you can go here [Hotaru Tomoe].

Kaolinite
Kaolinite is Professor Tomoe's assistant and the oringinal collector of pure hearts for the purpose of finding the Three Talismans. Kaolinite uses her hair to attack people--weird, I know, but it seems to be a recurring theme in the Death Busters (See Mistress 9). She is "killed" by senshi-or at least supposedly- during a battle. But you'll find out later that she is brought back to life. Kaolinite revels in the role of the Professor's Assistant, and she actually cares for Tomoe- possibly even in love with him. She is permanently killed by Mistress 9 when she is awakened.

Mistress 9
Mistress 9 is the dreaded Messiah of Silence. She is awakened to bring Pharaoh 90 to this universe, and to unleash the silence upon the earth. Mistress 9 uses her unbelievably long hair to attack people. If you wish to be MAJORLY spoiled, you can go here [Mistress 9] to learn more about Mistress 9, but it will give away a large part of the plot.

Devices and creatures used by the Death Busters:::

The Sacred Cup:
The sacred Cup is created by uniting the three Talismans which are contained in three pure hearts. It is described by Mistress 9 as being "The Purest crystal from the collection of anger, love, loneliness, happiness, and envy." Sailormoon is able to use the Sacred cup to do a double transformation. That is, that after she is transformed into Sailormoon by using her locket, she can use the Sacred cup to perform her "Moon Crisis Makeup" and transform into Super Sailormoon. The cup has a larger purpose however. If the Messiah of light possesses the cup, he/she can use it to purify the world, destroying all evil and heralding an age of light. However, if the Messiah of Silence possesses the cup, they have to power to destroy the planet and everything on it, thus issuing in an age of silence and darkness. Mistress 9 uses the cup as a beacon for Pharoah 90, and as a supplement to his power. The Sacred cup is destroyed when it is placed in a device which opens the gateway to the Death Buster's Universe.

The three Talismans:
The three talismans are the devices which when united create the sacred cup. One talisman is already in this world, but the other two exist in the pure hearts of two people. It is believed that the pure crystal hearts must be removed from these individuals and permanently taken in order for the talismans to appear. If this happens, the two will die. There's not much more I can say about them without giving away a big part of the plot.
But if you still want to know about them, Go here [Talisman 1] here [Talisman 2] and here [Talisman 3].

Pure Crystal Hearts:
These are the hearts of dedicated, charitable, or lovely individuals in crystalized form. They are first removed by the Death Busters (by Kaolinite and Eudial) and inspected by Uranus and Neptune in order to find the three talismans. Once the three talismans are uncovered, the hearts are harvested by the Death Busters by various methods as awakening Energy for the Messiah of Silence. To see these methods, go to the Witches Five page and look at Terurun, Villuy, and Pikurl's sections (because they were the ones who didn't use Dalmons).

Dalmon:
Dalmon is the name of the monsters which are used to collect the pure hearts. They are used only by
Kaolinite, Eudial, and Mimet. There are four different types of Dalmon.
The first kind of Dalmon are the Attached Dalmons which were used by Kaolinite. These Dalmons were energized by < AHREF="#prof" class="link">Professor Tomoe and then sent out in egg form to attach to some personal item of the pure-hearted person who was targeted. These Dalmons will not appear in monster form untill they are touched by the pure-hearted individual. The second type are the Guardian Dalmons. These are used by Eudial. These Dalmon are created by Professor Tomoe in an oven-type device. They are then placed in a box which Eudial carries with her in her car as she drives to the site of a target. These Dalmons are released when she calls for them, and their purpose is not to remove the crystal hearts (Eudial does that with her gun) but to protect Eudial and the heart from the Sailor Senshi.
The third type of Dalmon are the Cormorant Dalmons. These are used by Mimet. These Dalmons are created by Professor Tomoe in his Easy-bake oven type device, and placed in a suitcase untill Mimet carries them to the site of a target, and calls "Come out, Dalmon!". They remove the crystal hearts by sucking the air from the throats of the target (it almost looks like they're kissing them!) and then,,, Swallowing the Hearts!! It's all very disgusting. The fourth and final type of dalmon is really a Dalmon in the strictest sense. The Shapeless or Formless Dalmons are released by Misstress 9 during the final battle with the Senshi. They are not processed by Professor Tomoe first, and are just released straight from all the remaining Eggs of Dalmon. Since they are not processed, they have no real form, and resemble an unborn fetus (as sick of a comparrison as that may be, it's true!). They have a liquidy pink kind of form, and are used to attack the senshi at first, and then to create an expanding dome-like barrier of Dalmon bodies around the Death Busters' nest.

Eggs of Dalmon:
The Egg like objects which Professor Tomoe releases the Dalmon from.

Mini-universe or _______ _________:
This is the univers which the Death Busters are from. A gateway to it is contained in a dome which sits on Professor Tomoe's desk, and a larger version of it is created for Pharaoh 90 to pass through.

Witches Five:
This is a sub-group in the Death Busters organization which is comprised of bright students from Mugen-Gauken High School. They each have their own unique powers and are place in charge of collecting pure hearts once Kaolinite is "killed". They have their own page allllll about them. Go to it if you wish.

Mugen Gauken High School (The Death Busters' Nest):
Mugen High is owned by Professor Tomoe, and is the site of the Death Busters' nest. It is a school for only the most elite students and it is held in a sky-scraper in the middle of town. Haruka and Michiru enrolled in this school because it was rumored that strage things occur regularly there, and the suspected it of having something to do with the Death Busters, although they didn't know what. The school is destroyed in the final battle with the senshi.

Star Emblems:
All of the Death Busters have a star somewhere on their body, and it is the representation of their power, as well as a tool for removing hearts on some of the lesser members {such as the attached Dalmon, and the Witches Five). Although there is not one visible on Kaolinite's body, I'm sure it's there somewhere. And, the eyeglass which professor Tomoe wears is representative of the larger star on the forehead on Gerumantou (the entity that enhabits his body).
