Our story begins with beginning of the Sailor Moon Super (SMS) season. The witches 5 are a group which is a part of an orginization called the Death Busters.

As you could guess, there are Five members of the group. They are all young ladies (although the first one, Eudial, appears to be in her late 20's) and they are placed in charge of collecting crystalized pure hearts for two different purposes. The first purpose for collecting these hearts is to find the three talismans which will combine to make the Sacred Cup. This cup is needed so that the Death Busters can acheive their goal of covering the galaxy in an evil silence. The talismans are contained in the pure hearts of two individuals. The third talisman sits atop Sailorpluto's Time Staff. A member of the Death Busters named Kaolinite was originally in charge of this task, but after she was defeated by Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune (who's mission is to also find the three talismans) The first member of Witches 5 takes over this task.

Eudial is the first member of Witches Five that is revealed. The faces and names of the witches are never revealed untill it is their time to collect pure hearts. Eudial is a scientist (as are all the witches) She uses the Dalmons in combination with her Fire Buster machine to fight the senshi while collecting pure hearts and inspect them to see if they are talismans. She carries a ready-made Dalmon in the back of her car and drives to wherever the target is. To remove the hearts, she has a gun which fires a beam through the victims chest, removing their pure heart. After many failures, Eudial finally uncovers the 2 talismans (I won't say who they were in ^_~) but they are snatched away by Sailormoon. As Eudial is going back to the Death Buster's Nest to regroup, she discovers that her breaks have been cut by experimental acid-producing snails that were placed in her car by Mimet, the next witch.

Mimet is a young girl (About the Usagi's age--maybe a little older)and she acts like a little girl. All of her targets are idols, or handsome young men. Mimet is very sweet and has big dreams. In fact she once entered a contest with Minako to become an official Akako (or groupie) of this singer. In fact, if she won, she was ready to quit the Death Busters. But when she lost, she became very bitter and decided that the Death Busters was the only place for her. She looks up to Professor Tomoe or Dalmon, and he thinks of her as a sweet girl who "tried hard, but seems to keep failing". Since the Talismans have been found, the Death Busters now need the energy of Pure hearts to awaken the Messiah of Silence. This is why Mimet collects pure crystal hearts. Mimet uses her Charm Buster to defeat her enemies (The Senshi!) and carries around her dalmons in a suitcase to find her target. When she finds the target, she throws off her disguise (which usually includes a cutes yellow dress and a red headrap) and opens the suitcase yelling "Come out, Dalmon!". Then the Cormorant Dalmon, comes out and does it's job. Mimet continually fails to collect pure hearts and eventually the professor decides to give the third witch, Terurun, a chance. But Mimet overhears this and tells Terurun that the Professor doesn't want her to do her job yet. Mimet is destroyed during a battle at Mugen High, When Terurun discovers that Mimet took her job, and unplugs an "Electric Warp" machine that Mimet has uploaded herself in.

While Eudial and Mimet lasted for several missions, the next three Witches only lasted for one each. And instead of collecting the pure hearts one at a time, as Mimet and Eudial did, they collect them en-masse.

Terurun takes over after she kills Mimet. She uses plants called Teruruns (self-named but meaning "Brings Good Fortune") to try and collect pure hearts. She hands them out saying that they will bring good fortune. And when they bloom, the flowers suck out the pure hearts of whoever's standing nearby and contain them in a star which is located on Terurun's hand. Setsuna and ChibiUsa almost have their's taken out by these flowers. But the Senshi soon discover where Terurun is, and battle her. Terurun uses plant vines that come from her arms to try to fight the senshi. She dies when Tuxedo Kamen breaks the star containg the hearts, and a large version of her plant which is supposed to destroy anything with a pure heart reacts to all the Pure hearts which the broken star released and entraps Terurun. The plant then explodes, taking Terurun with it. After she is killed, the Senshi find a student notebook from Mugen High with the name Teru Hurun (Terurun) in it and a picture of the Normal Terurun, and discover that the witches are actually students at Mugen Gauken High.

Villuy is the fourth witch. She is also a student at Mugen High, who tied with Ami for the top score on a pre-highschool entrance exam. The Senshi go to investigate the Mysterious Mugen High after they See Terurun's Student notebook.There is a practice exam going on there. Ami meets up with Villuy and she shows Ami the mini-universe that the death Busters have created (she calls them her science club!), and tells Ami that there is no use for understanding the human heart, and that there is really no need for it. The only important thing is logical science. Villuy suspects that Ami is a Senshi. She uses computer screens in front of the examinees to suck out their pure hearts adn store them in her supercomputer. Villuy also has manacles that control nanorobots which she uses to attack the senshi. The robots continually stab at their targets untill they eat up all their energy and destroy them. But, Ami damages one of her manacles and when Villuy tries to use the robots again, they turn on Villuy and destroy her. So, she finally realizes the coldness of science and the value of the human heart, but too late.

Pikurl is the name of the Fifth and Final witch. Pikurl draws the students of Mugen High to the school building using some sort of mind-control. The students are in a trance so that Pikurl can remove their hearts, and store them in a statue of the Messiah of Silence. While she is drawing the students in and removing their hearts, she notices the girls hiding behind a column and teleports them upstairs. Pikurl then does something very unique. She splits into 2 different, separate people- Pikurl(with blue hair) and Cyprine(with Red Hair). They fight the senshi using their staffs which shoot bolts of colored energy, and when they place their staffs together, they can absorb any of the senshi's attacks, making themselves stronger. The senshi defeat them by drawing them off and separating the 2. Then they confuse Pikurl and Cyprine, maneuvering them into a position so that they end up shooting each other. Thus, the final Batch of crystal hearts are returned to their owners, and it is the end of Witches Five....but not the end of the Death Busters.
